Food Blog South 2011

I’ve been an avid food blog follower for quite some time now and as you may know I’ve only just started to dip one toe in to the world of food blogging. I’m a terrible writer who’s passionate about home cooking and local fare. The water is still cold but I’m slowly getting used to it. That being said, I couldn’t be more excited that Food Blog South is coming to Birmingham. Food Blog South is a regional conference for Southern food bloggers, scheduled for January 22, 2011.

Food Blog South has a great line up of speakers including New York Times writer, Kim Severson. The conference will also feature some of Birmingham’s best foodies and writers: Alison LewisWade KwonJennifer Davick and more. See the full list here.

Unite with fellow foodies for a full day of good eats and dive deeper into the fascination for Southern cuisine. Learn all about food styling, recipe development, marketing your blog, and more. Not to mention come meet your favorite bloggers!

If you’re a true foodie living in this region, I highly recommend taking advantage of everything Food Blog South has to offer. If you haven’t registered yet, do so here! Proceeds benefit Birmingham’s Desert Island Supply Co, a new non-profit writing center for children, and the Alabama Gulf Coast Environmental Recovery Fund, which assists with recovery efforts from the Gulf oil spill.

See you there friends!
